color bleed is pretty straightforward. there's something about the compression algorithm that indiscriminately reduces color noise and interpolates big blocks of surrounding color over it. so, if someone has tan skin and white teeth and they aren't too physically big in the photo, you'll end up with tan teeth. it's reallly distracting, and you need a heavy duty demosaicing algorithm to even try and fix it.
