Cut your losses and pick up a nice used digital SLR and some good editing software. Then, you can make EVERYTHING look "film." They're getting cheaper on the used market, all the time.
These film guys go nuts over this shit but, in reality, the first thing they do with a film picture is DIGITIZE it, to send out. Cut your losses on film and developing. Above all else, don't stop shooting. Go out every day. It actually starts to become MORE fun after a while. I'm heading to a state park right now. Sunny and 70 degrees? See ya later.
