i am in the fortunate position to be able to borrow different very nice film cameras for a week or two at a time. Today i took a Mamiya 6 home to shoot a few rolls of Velvia. Its such a magificent camera. I really want to own one. But fingerfucking it just made really sad. Its all dead stock. Every day cameras like this break and even the few people who still know how to repair these will either get too old or run out of parts. Its so sad and hopeless.
