They lack some of the bells and whistle features other brands have, but are still innovative in a way that makes them very useful.
Generally tough as fuck, and no bullshit, with only a few fairly tolerable rough edges and inadequacies.
They only make a few models, and don't re-re-re-re-reproduce vast arrays of lenses for each body release, nor do they really advertise, so they are relatively cheap, very decent, cost effective cameras.
The camera division itself may be a geisha as far as being handed around goes, but it's rather good at it, so it carries some of the technological, manufacturing, and optical goodness from numerous owners.
TL;DR: they make good cameras I haven't been able to break, and there's a good selection of old and new glass for them. All at a price I can afford to experiment with numerous bodies and lenses from all eras.
