>>3527995sony screw drive adapters are notoriously slow especially with older bodies, because of this you rarely see people adapt a-mount lenses.but it seems like it works much on the a7iii and the a9, though the it still struggles with focus tracking.
well you don't need the Df to be able to fully utilize nikon lens library. in fact all mid to high end dslr have screw drive motor and Ai tab for their legacy glasses. the only lenses that are incompatible with newer cameras are the ancient pre ai lens which could be simply modified to have and Ai tab.
i like to use the manual nikkor 35mm f2 Ai on my D800, decently sharp easy to nail focus, and very nice and quick focusing ring. Another lens i use alot with the D800 is the nikkor 80-400mm f4.5-5.6D which i use for studio portraits and i bought cheap for 200$ because it had a ton of fungus, but fortunately i knew how to clean the lens and now its very sharp at the wide end and bit softer at the tele end but still plenty usable at wide open, i don't know why dxomark rates this lens so poorly.and currently im planning to get the 60mm f2.8D for film scanning, maybe i'll use it for portrait aswell.
