>>4272286>weather sealing doesn't actually do anythingdon't know about the toy brands but for nikon (z6ii here) weather sealing is absurdly great. I've taken the cam out during heavy rainstorms, dropped it into mud, had it with me photographing horses in the midst of a summer heat wave (dust everywhere) and it never failed or got any dust inside.
I hear sony weather sealing is meme trash level. but for nikon you can count on it. (i'd say the same about canon but they weather seal only their uber expensive premium lenses so a sealed body alone is worthless).
don't listen to the retards telling you that weather seals get bad after a few years. if you've ever owned a used car you know: weather seals keep up for decades - on moving machines that are all the time outside. the gaskets in cameras will most likely outlive the capacitors in the electronics. /p/ is full of broke teenage school children repeating shit they read somewhere in a decade old post on a boomer forum.
if you live anywhere other than sunny califoria weather sealing is a great boon to have. when I was rocking an olympus pen f for a few weeks I always was worried to take it out during rain. my fucking Nikon I'd leave over night outside (if I wasn't worried about niggers stealing it)
