>>3688650>why do larptographers always take their lens off and put the bodycap back on so they can put their camera in their pelican case and miss shots>keeping your bodycap handy is like keeping the box from your iphone in your car because you might need itIf you travel with heavy lenses or even Because I carry two cameras. The Ra has a modified sensor meaning it's unsuitable for terrestrial photography (unless you want to edit your images very carefully). And when I wanted to fit a body cap to my camera and a rear cap to my lens is because there was dew and fireplace smoke in the air and I needed two hands to shift large lenses. I'm not going to miss shots in the dead of night with a long lens when I have an APS-C mirrorless camera clipped to my belt.
I don't want to have to clean moisture with ash from my sensor if I can avoid it and if swapping heavy lenses means walking from the tripod back to my car (taking about 1 minute to remove and refit a lens).
Here's an RP sensor that wasn't protected on a humid day when the photographer swapped lenses. It was splashed by either water (from condensation) or sweat/saliva from the photographer. Not ideal because it ruined the rest of his shots.
