>>3354573>pocket wizards don't work with dumb flashes like that vivitar except to turn them on and off.gee wiz!
A pocket wizard makes a flash do what a flash does.
>you played yourself.if all I used the PWs for was the Vivitars than yeah I would agree with you but they also work very well with my Norman pack and heads.
I very rarely shoot digital except to DSLR scan (hens the 800E, sharper and don't really need to worry about moire). The other shit I absolutely hate about TTL shit is that is designed to lock you into a system. I want shit that will work with Canon, Nikon, Fuji (gah I can get my hands on a gfx for cheep and it destroys FF), or Linhoff.
>I can then add up to 15 more flashes, that can all be controlled wirelessly from the first flash, they can be grouped for faster changes too.If i am ever asked to do a shoot that needs 15 flashes I will quote for 15 PWs and an assistant to change all the settings (assistants are also wireless ... usually). I think the most lights I have used on a shoot though was 8 profoto monoblocks, each one had a wizard, we had 3 assistants, and 2 photographers (a friend shooting digital and myself shooting 4x5)
