Just as example, the taliban actually did attempt to destroy the Opium production in Afghanistan.
When they cut the supply for Opium and processed drugs, America got pissed and sent in soldiers to protect their drugs.
While I agree the islamic countries are 99% islam for the most part, and oppressive against other religious minorities (The taliban blew up that ancient Buddhist monument for example), it's worth noting the level of propaganda levitated against them when it's convenient to hide USA's crimes.
