It's not Sony's duty to research BSI technology for Olympus.
It's supposed to be Olympus who comes to Sony with a bag of money, begging Sony for help. Just like Nikon and Fujifilm did.
But this is physically impassible, as Olympus does not have the money.
You know what happened instead?
Sony actually took pity in Olympus, and researched the BSI tech into M43, and offered it as a generic off the self product anyone can buy if they wish.
