so with a handheld light meter, I actually have to walk up to the scene and do some reflected meterings or, even better, get even closer and do an incident metering. is that about right?
worst case, when I can't get to something, I just point it to the scene from where I'm standing next to the camera, meter, and hope for the best?
bear with me pls, I'm having trouble understanding handheld meter use out in the field as I've never done so. we have a sekonic 308 but I've only ever used it in the studio to do flash incident meterings for portraits and food.
