>>3539865The autofocus is notoriously slow as fuck and they've basically abandoned it. There's been very few firmware updates. The Ricoh GR look is also something very unique and I think it's worth it. I own the GR 2013 and it's my favourite camera of all time.
First rule of cameras is that the spec sheet isn't everything. There's much more to a camera than numbers on a spec sheet. Cameras aren't game consoles,a lot of things combine to make a camera something special. For the GR it's the ergonomics, the build quality (it's solid metal) and the total ease of use. Everything can be adjusted one handed.
