Digital is also limited in bit depth, when you project film that is produced from a film master you have unlimited gradation in color while most digital film projections are 8 bit color which means 256 gradations of any given color and a limit to merely millions of colors rather than billions. Of course most people end up seeing these film shot movies on digital screens and projectors these days anyway but if you’ve seen imax movies on imax film projectors the experience is unrivaled.
