Specially on screens that have less details in the blacks, it makes you wonder if the shape is a building in itself or part of something larger. As for the tree, I felt it added a good balance to the frame, but I might also have been influenced by the style of Don Hong-Oai which I recently discovered doing research on Pictoralism (pic related)
