I see some rolls of expired 828 film on ebay for like 12 dollars. Maybe I will get some of that as a first test...
With the 16mm film do you buy rolls of it, or sort of bulk load the little film canister things? 828 is paper backed, so I think it would be kinda tricky to bulk load it, maybe it's actually easier???
