Can you please explain to me the difference of a smartphone camera and low end separate camera?
I am considering getting one of the first 3 in this list:
https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/buying-guides/the-best-cheap-cameras>Canon PowerShot SX620 HS - 199 bucks>Panasonic Lumix ZS50 / TZ70 - 269 bucks>Sony RX100 - 368 bucksI want to use the camera to make photos of the landscape where I live and of friends and colleagues as memory after moving out. I might also use it for selfies to use in online profiles and job applications. Pic related is why I want to buy a separate camera. The photos of my smartphone have a lot of megapixels but the photos themselves look ugly and it also makes humans look uglier. Basically I want a camera where humans look great but also one that is not ridiculously expensive and professional.
At the same time I heard that these low end cameras don't actually make photos that look noticeably better than a smartphone photo.
So what should I do?
