I have a Canon 7D with the following lenses:
-Canon EF 20mm USM f/2.8
-Canon EF 100mm USM f/2.8
-Canon EF 50mm STM f/2.8
I'm planning on selling all my gear to upgrade to a Full Frame camera (I do not need the longer focal range that the APS-C sensor offers, and would actually benefit from having a Full Frame sensor since I do some night time photography)
I was considering getting a Nikon D800 since it's around the price range that I can afford after selling all my gear + savings (~2000usd), but I really do not have any experience with Nikon cameras (I was comparing it to a 5D Mark III and it seems to be slightly better)
Is there a better recommendation that you guys can offer? The only thing that I need is a newer camera than my old 7D, which has better low light performance and doesn't have a crop sensor.
Also, I tend to shoot some product and food photography from time to time, so even though it sounds pretty vain, having a "pro looking" body can help you out a lot when interacting with clients, therefore I'm not considering cameras like the Sony Alpha or Fuji X- series.
