So I'm selling my v600 and getting a Nikon D5500 to replace it and it'll also be my first DSLR. I plan on using it mainly for scanning and night photography.
I'm also going to sell off all of my rangefinders and medium format cameras. I think I've finally figured out what I want after doing photography for one year and this is what I'll end up with.
>Nikon F2
>Nikon F100
>Nikon D5500
>one cheap AF lens 70-210mm
>many Nikkor manual focus Ai-S lenses
So far, I dig my F2 with a 35mm lens as my favorite combo. Its good for black and white film for street photography or color for landscapes. This setup is easiest to frame and focus out of all the other cameras I've had.
Lasty, fuck rangefinders. They suck. Limited frame lines, gotta think about parallax, and focusing a rangefinder is less intuitive than a split prism.
