>>3274661>"I had fun today working on my newest video"If you're talking about shooting then god, fuck no, it's always the most stressful thing to go through while making a film, dealing with everything from sudden dropouts to unexpected weather shifts and general unpredictable mishaps is always a torture and, even when everything somehow manages to go according to plan, even if you film all the footage you wanted to and all members of your crew thankfully feel individually happy and accomplished in their own tasks, it's still hard to shake off your own pessimism, as if you're just not good enough to fulfill whatever vision you have for the project at hand. Personally speaking though, once the footage is wrapped, I can let my mind go and actually feel some enjoyment in the process of editing: dragging and aligning the clips into the timeline and seeing everything you've been working towards in the past days / weeks / months slowly coming together into one cohesive narrative is genuinely one of the greatest feelings in the world and it more than justifies all the suffering up until then. Sure, not even the editing is safe from creative mishaps, you will still run into roadblocks and inevitably struggle with getting around them, but at least you do not feel the pressure of time constantly breathing down on your neck, and that generally gives you a clearer mind to deal with problem solving. In the end, even if you do not end up with a great film, having finished it is enough happiness by itself to justify learning from it, processing in all the good and bad feedback you need, and doing it all over again with a new idea.
