There's a reason why the best movies by almost any metric you can come up with to define best movies have great cinematography and coherent visual aesthetics. because aesthetics matter, and visual language matters. Photography as an artform allows communication along those axes.
tl'dr, visual aesthetics matter and i think cool photos are pretty neat and I like taking them
