Going by this logic, no matter how much I spend, there will always be this better camera for this little more. Sure, I would love to play around with K-1, but for now K-r will suffice for my needs.
If I conclude that I don't like photography, the less I spend, the less it will hurt, and even such cheap camera will find use from time to time.
My phone camera sucks, there's no way any DSLR can be worse than it. But I exactly want a toy, that I will be able to play with, and if I get bored, throw it into the drawer, using it only sometimes.
