Just pixel peep to see your focus is correct. I used a 300mm f/5.6 MC Rokkor, so 600mm equivalent with the crop factor. Also took shots with a 400mm f/6.3 Tamron and a 500mm f/8 Zenit MTO, but the Rokkor was the best of the bunch even when crop zoomed to match in post. Here's a shot with the Tamron.
