Macro all too often requires both hands and wasting one for holding your flash will ruin a lot of shots
Diffusors are great but they're also in the way more often than you will like
Macro mini flashes don't really need diffusors if you use them up close (though on intermediary distances diffusors can be helpful=
I bought the AK ones for my Godox flashes and used them a couple of times - turns out I don't really need them
