What's a good point and shoot for taking pictures while I'm /out/?
- My budget is < $1000, cheaper is preferred, but willing to pay for quality.
- I like going backpacking and taking pictures of meadows, mountains, flowers, lakes, stuff like that.
- So far I've used my iPhone but I'm becoming pretty unhappy with the quality of the pictures - they're kind of flat and washed out.
- I'm happy to use something that requires some learning / technical expertise.
- I definitely don't want something big like a DSLR: they're obviously very inconvenient to lug around when you're on top of a mountain or whatever.
Any recommendations? I have almost no idea whatsoever about photography. Pic from recent trip attached (one of the better ones). I'd love to learn how to take better pictures.
