This wasn't even the worst part. Many /ph/aggots here deliberately spread FUD about the mount being too small.
In reality Sony's old IBIS simply happened to be the weakest mechanically. And now they retconned that with a new IBIS mechanism.

An apology is probably suitable.

The impressive part of the 50GM isn't the flare cancelling, nor the price size or weight.
What make it stand out from the other two is its magnetic levitaion autofocus which is measurably multiple times faster than its peers.

That's an autistic amount of consideration taken into lens design.

That means the autofocus unit is not only orders of magnitude faster than Canikon's.
It's also miniturised to the point where it can be used in far smaller lens barrel.

Most reviewers don't understand how big of a deal this is, but it's huge.
