It has literally no effect on anything whether canon, Nikon, Sony, or even Pentax is in the lead. Neither of you are lying, you’re just arguing with the limited information you have given that (a) no company actually releases accurate sales numbers and (b) estimates of sales numbers can be calculated in a lot of different ways.
Neither of you is going to win this argument. Neither of you is going to convince any third parties in the thread of your position. You’re both anonymous so even if there WERE a win condition on this argument, you would gain nothing from the win.
And arguing about who started the argument just makes you sound even more like kindergarteners having a slap fight. Like, no one cares which of you started it. You’re both anonymous. No one is going to bother tracing the argument back to try to figure out which posts belong to which anon. It’s all just so many layers of futility.
