>>3807345What was it, a PlusTek 135? The 8100 and 8200 series, which are very popular, go for around $400-500 new. And how long did it take to scan that roll? I think people should factor in convenience. How are its results with color film? It's great if you found a cheap setup that works, I didn't know the cheaper PlusTeks were any good.
>>3807350The PlusTek 120 is definitely not $1000 or 1000 euro. Their DPI figures mean nothing, everyone knows the actual DPI is far less than claimed. If you use something like an a7r iv, you get 60.2 MP which is about 6710 DPI at 1:1. With a 24 MP sensor, you've got an actual 4230 dpi image at 1:1.
>>3807353You can't kick back? The whole process can be over in literally a few minutes total for an entire 36 image roll. You need to kick back for that? C'mon.
>>3807357>Which camera and lens gets you similar magnification?Similar to what? I don't know what you're asking. If you're scanning, ideally you want a 1:1 macro lens. Your files will be as big as your camera's resolution.
