>>3847481For me the best way to add images is simply dragging and dropping them into C1. I organise files on disk by months previously, so i've 'add to catalogue' ticked. I select all new files in file browser, then drop them into main window of C1. Program will recognise duplicates, so it's not a problem selecting a few extra when dumping them in.
Projects are intended for single day work. Ie. Dump whole card, select those that work, quickly process and export, then delete or archive project.
Catalogues are intended as large collection of all images across months and years. Use library tab to move through recent imports, and I'd advise on creating custom user collections in it by months or themes for faster operation. Big problem with C1 is that it's pretty darn shit when it comes to handling plenty of files. I'm talking 10k+ images. It's slow and awkward finding files by keywords, tags, and ratings, and is even slow at moving from collections inside the catalogue. I use old lightroom installation and duplicate catalogue to search files by keywords.
