>>4089323I tried the xt4, Z7ll, R5 and a7IV and I chose the a7IV in the end as well. although my reasons were primarily lens choice, button layout similarity to Z7ll which i really liked and the 33MP sensor sweet spot
>poor UInot a7iv, the a7iv has a new UI design that is literally similar to nikons and canons but with sony style menus separation
>poor ergonomicsthe only bad thing about sony cameras, that's why i got the grip
>pdaf stripinga7lll is literally the only sony camera with this issue AND even with the a7lll, the issue appears only when shooting with certain lenses AND it appears only in certain siturations, mostly when shooting at things that are back lit AND it's not really an issue in the first place, because it's fixable
>weird color renditionmuh color!!!11!!! who cares about colors in current year?! everyone and their grandmother edits their work, color science literally doesn't matter (and 90% of the hobbyists and amateurs who don't do much color editing, slap on presets on their images anyway)
>poor weather sealingsure older sony cameras had worse weather sealing than canon and nikon counterparts but the weather sealing was still good and it's only been improved with a1 and a7IV, to the point where theres no difference between sony and canon anymore. Nikon still has the best weather sealing though. people use a1's and a7iv's in literal rainstoms, freezing cold and dusty environments without any issues. i didn't with mine but what i did was i literally shot the entire WRC event in germany in moderate/heavy rain while running around the stages the entire day. i even changed my batteries out in the open. that's 12-14 hours of non-stop running and driving around the stages in rain, running through mud, dirt and tree particles falling all over me and my camera from the bushes and trees, all while being showered with rain, without any issues whatsoever. and correct me if im wrong but didnt a7iv get a higher weather sealing rating than r5 and r6?
