They're not like mirrorless cameras or even some recent SLR's in that the 5D will suggest what it thinks you should do, but you can instantly decide if you want to work with it, or have it do what you want.
They're also so cheap they generally pay for themselves after 1 craigslist gig, and leave you shekels for lenses.
