>>3979374>With my bmpcc I’ve tried shooting raw with green screen and the grain from the sensor need to be denoised before keyingif it's the original and not a 4k/6k that would be why. sensor was garbage on that thing.
>>3979513yeah, i've done pretty much everything you have been suggesting, and yeah i can get it pretty decent! it's just that all the hoops i need to jump through to finally get to an end result for me that i still feel is only "decent" is kind of disappointing. knowing that bmpcc4k has the dual iso and from footage i've seen guartantees a much better key at the 200 iso sensitivity i'm already shooting at with my sigma lens.
it's all of that combined with the much better preamp that would also allow me to rig it up and shoot outside on occasion for any sort of skit work or interview i may want to do makes it more versatile for some quick and dirty. the way i have attempted to do the in file audio is to have an -10db attenuated cable plugged into the camera, run into a mixer, with the xlr mic boomed over the talent plugged into that, and adjusting levels best i can, because the preamp on the g7 is so fucking bad and buzzy holy shit.
seems like i can just throw 1k at a bmpcc4k, get literally all the hardware under one hood that i need to make my workflow much more efficient, and i even get added benefits of bluetooth control and adjustments so i wouldn't even need to be looking at the screen when the camera is mounted to pull focus and start recording. all that and i can keep all existing lenses i already have and use the g7 for b-roll or stills while keeping the bmpcc for the real main work. idk m80. just looking for input on MY specific use case.
