MICROcontrast is largely about texture reproduction, contrast in the MICRO details. Zeiss lenses have superior texture reproduction, which the human brain perceives as real sharpness.
This is also one of the worst zeiss lenses and yet if you look at sample pictures the zeiss reproduces texture and avoids a flat look much better than the scamyang
