Hey guys, just starting out in photography as a hobby because of the rona lockdown bullshit and I've been alone and isolating from the past few months. Anyway, I managed to get a Canon EOS 6D Mark III a few months ago with an EF 50mm, f/1.8 STM lens. it's great and all, but I find it "too tight" or "tele" (?) so I am looking at another lens that is wider but not not too wide so it distorts everything.
So from some researching, I think I'm going to settle on a 35mm prime lens, specifically, either the Canon EF 35mm f/2 IS USM, Tamron 35mm f/1.8 VC or the Tamron 35mm f/1.4.
I think the Tamron f/1.8 VC is the cheapest of the lot, I can see one on sale locally for about $250, the Canon is a couple hundred more and the Tamron f/1.4 for three hundred on top of the f/1.8 VC.
I am very interested in low light photography, so I think the f/1.8 VC might be the better option?
What do you guys think?
