>>3778122I meant stay close to the car because a monorail like that would be a pain to hike with. Most good large format lenses are a couple hundred bucks each last I checked. I always take my camera down, but it takes perhaps 30 seconds max to set up and pop a lens on. You could leave it assembled in the car for sure. Using a digital camera to find a composition and meter is a huge time saver, that's the way I work. I've had a few questions from locals, some people are cool with it and some ask me to leave. Nothing too bad.
