>>4280671EVERYONE should do that. "Hybrid" capabilities (read: shooting shitty video slightly better and slightly longer in an irrelevant way because journalism is sufficient in 1080p30 and real cinema is shot on real cinema cameras) is the sole thing bloating up camera bodies. Imagine if sony had some semblance of build quality on the original a7 and that set the tone for FF mirrorless.
Video generates heat. Heat needs dissipated. Larger bodies can fit heatsinks. Video fags demand ports. Ports take up size. Video even bloated the already huge nikons (see: Z8).
The FPS wars are also an offender but less so because stills FPS doesn't demand much, and nobody who matters needs more than 10. They're more like video's retarded, talentless sidekick.
And everyone should stop giving such a shit about CORNER SHARPNESS WIDE OPEN. Holy fuck it matters literally never. Is it fucking british landscape faggots photographing rocks in their ecological wasteland driving this? I can understand wildlife snapshitting non-artists because their hobby is looking at feathers, but why everything else?
Take the nikkor Z 40mm f2 and 28mm f2.8 for example. Each is a great lens. Nikon considers each low end, so nikon Z does not have one single compact standard prime, only a 26mm f2.8 cope lens that vignettes 3 stops so it can fight other brands for the "smallest lens" title. Another victim of the retarded sharpness wars. NOT ONE SINGLE WEATHER SEALED COMPACT STANDARD PRIME ON NIKON Z.
Mates personally I do not give a shit about sharpness but I do not want water to touch my fucking sensor
