Has anyone shot redhaired models before?
I'm new to portraitature and want to shoot some black and white of my friend who has orangery/red hair. I understand that b&w portraits often use an orange filter to smooth out the skin of the subject somehow (why does this work?). My model has strong features, especially her eyebrows, and I want a strong contrast in the picture. Would a blue filter work in darkening her hair and eyebrows? How would it affect her skin?
