Im currently shooting with a EOS 3000, but it feels weird using L glass on that plastic body, so I've been on the hunt for a 1VHS. Im considering getting a beat up Nikon F5 instead, the waist level viewfinder appeals to me, and its quarter of the price of a 1V.

Can anyone share their experience with Nikon system? Is electromagnetic diaphragm on their glass something to worry about?
