so i've attempting to get back into making videos (after poor excuses of it when i was younger)

is it better to attempt to fuck with the focus, or leave it static and work the camera, moving while filming is not an easy task or i suck.
im also ignoring audio for the most part right now.
also what are essential lenses to get? i've got a kit 16-55 f3.5 and a memetv 35 f1.7 for my a6000 (with the XAVCS update)
is 8mm too wide for skate videos?
whats a good general purpose video lense?
i'd really like to carry around 3 or less lenses
