>>3478088They are pretty wiley around here. If they aren't sleeping, there's no way of getting close. If I see one slinking around, I'll just wait until he goes to sleep which is the only thing they do during daylight. Usually I find them doing it just before sundown while waiting to hunt.
I always do the same things when I find one sleeping, which is get to the sunlit side, creep up, and then throw a rock to get them to look where I want them to. Get my couple of snaps, then they are off like a rocket.
