I decided to try film. I bought a camera, some Tri-X, and some chemicals. Now I want to scan the resulting negatives.
How does one deal with dust? I've heard great things about what digital ICE does for everything that isn't B&W, but that it doesn't work for B&W because it depends on IR transparency. My experience bears this out (Digital ICE gets very confused when I try) Careful attention with a puffer bulb and a microfiber cloth pretty much sorta works, but is very laborious. Is that the only way?

I know, but I thought I'd post it. Note dust in the sky.
