I shoot film because the simplicity of the process is therapeutic. On my digital cameras, I'm always trying to get optimum raw files for the best result, but with film I meter and shoot.
I never sell my old shit, so I have quite a snowball of things - Pic related my cameras. My Canon AE-1 has the best feel to the controls by a landslide, and my crown graphic is the most entertaining to use. Provia 100f, Portra 400, and FP100C take the cake for me.
Pretty soon I'll be buying something along the lines of a D610 or D750, with the idea of the camera having so much integrity and range in the raw files that it can handle carefree shooting without problems. I would love to have a simple digital camera with 1 lens that I can shoot as relaxed as with film and know my images will be good, and I think the new Nikons have that.
