Very rudimentary, but it achieves what I wanted to find out.

the "*px.jpg" wildcard is just a simple way to find 99.9% of the files I upload as published images.
The last file that gets produced is the relevant one for listing duplicates, the other two are just for my own possible future interest.
Yeah, like NG; I don't get any duplication issues either. Where I do it's intentional and almost always as symlinks.
Managing your own filesystem instead of assuming some adobe bloatware will do it for you is probably what makes duplication issues essentially moot for most people.
