I'd say bring the fstop down a little more to give more contrast to the shadows, but raise the ISO just a tad or use a flash with diffuser to get a little more detail in the eye and the fur detail.
I know the colors in my example are slightly altered as I changed the color temperature to be slightly warmer, though I was not there so I don't know if this was a cold morning/evening or what angle the sun was at. If it was a colder day, then a bit more contrast could help with the original colors to give more of that cold morning dew feel.
