hey guys,
I'm asking for gear help, but i'm trying not to be a gearfag and did some research before.
I need some help in choosing a camera body and lens to replace my old FZ200 and its low quality (that still helped me learn about photography, going from point and shoot to manual exposure, so I don't consider it wasted money)
what matters the most to me is image quality and sharpness. I intend to shoot mostly landscapes, but sometimes portraits. No video, barely any macro.
I don't need no fancy electronics such as touchscreen and stuff like that. hell, even an LCD display is fine, as long as the AF isn't complete shit. and sometimes I might need AE in a rush.
hence I was thinking of buying a cheaper body from like 8 years ago such as a Nikon D7000 and a second-hand lens (according to what i read here, the lens matters most)
i'd like to stay under $700, lens included.
I'll shoot mostly landscapes but I'd like to keep some room for animal photography too, therefore I'd like a standard lens.
thanks for your help.
pic related, what I shot this summer and drives me to get better quality gear
