Think less rockwell with AI and sliders more fine art reproduction and A0 prints. Skill sharp is a given with autofocus, variable ISOs, IBIS, and the lack of mirror shock. sharp now means digital perfection for the kind of shit fashion photographers used 120 roll films and eurolenses for 10 years ago. Meanwhile the rockwells and stirrs of the world still think software detail enhancement is where its at (and no one looks at their photos except gearfags who want to have a laugh). If you’re not cropping deep or printing big the new sharp doesnt apply to you. Its also not really achievable on small formats. Even full frame can be insufficient. Which is ok, because the new sharp is for mascara ads in NY. Not photos on the internet.
