>>3471164That's a pretty good ratio. 2:1 to 1:1 are good for just about anything without making things difficult. Reverse rings are really great. I bought tons of off them off ebay for super cheap. But, they take forever to arrive since they come from Taiwan on a boat or something. I use them as reverse rings and for various DIY related things. They actually changed the way I hunt for lenses at second hand shops and on ebay. All those old vintage lenses that don't even fit my camera can all be reversed and used for close-up, macro, and super macro just by slapping a simple reverse ring on the filter threads.
Depending on the lens used, you may need to get an aperture adapter for reverse. It allows the lever for the aperture to be adjusted when there's no aperture ring on the lens (like for newer lenses.) The vintage stuff usually has an aperture ring and doesn't need an aperture adapter.
>>3471166I agree that this one is better. It is better to very slightly off focus than to have the composition far worse like it is in
>>3471159 I thought it was going to be super blurry, but that's not bad.
