>>4028207If you just barely load the leader into the takeup spool, you do get one to three frames extra in most cameras.
However in my experience, this isnt very reliable as the leader has popped out of the takeup for me many times in the past, resulting in no pictures.
So I've started advancing the film once before I close the back just to really make sure it gets picked up, and i've had reliable loading and very consistent 36 exposures since then.
