>>3910465Now obviously, I'm not the first to think of putting a camera down a hole. In fact, there's loads of professianl solutions for it. And they've got plenty of neat features. They're on a cable, so you've got live TV at the surface and you can move the camera around, to inspect interesting features in the hole, but they've got two problems:
1. They're thousands of euros
2. webm related (no, I did not fuck it up in ffmpeg, the quality and the resolution are that bad)
So it seems like it could be worth it to give some ~100€ max stuff a try, if it's not obviously gonna suck.
One problem: Of course it's not gonna have that depth counter, but if it can show the time in the frame, that would work too.
