>>3553333That being said, if you’re a beginner these days I’d personally recommend using your phone. Most modern smartphones actually produce great images if you shoot in manual and RAW, you only really get the smartphone look if you let it apply all the gross processing and raise the iso way higher than nessecary. It’s most effective in daylight (although you can get really nice low light images this way too as long as you watch your iso) and for subjects where you don’t really need a shallow depth of field.
