You could also just buy a small mirrorless. There really isn't anyway you can comfortably carry around a DSLR everywhere you go. But if you buy a sigma cropped sensor point and shoot or small MFT camera w/pancake lens, or even a good 1inch sensor p/s you can take great quality pictures with something that can easily fit in a coat pocket.
You have many options but carrying around a DSLR with you is pretty ridiculous unless you're into that.
